Installation Steps

1. Turn Off Water Supply
Before starting the installation, ensure the water supply to your shower is completely turned off. This prevents any accidental water flow during the process.

2. Remove Old Showerhead

  • If an existing showerhead is installed, unscrew it carefully.
  • Use your hands for removal or an adjustable wrench if it is tightly secured.
  • Be mindful of residual water that may spill out when you remove the showerhead.

3. Clean the Shower Arm

  • Once the old showerhead is removed, clean the threaded end of the shower arm.
  • Ensure all old plumber’s tape, dirt, or debris is wiped away to provide a clean surface for the new installation.

4. Apply Plumber’s Tape

  • Take the plumber’s tape included in your package and wrap it tightly around the threaded end of the shower arm.
  • This tape ensures a tight seal and helps prevent leaks during use.

5. Attach the Connector

  • Screw the connector onto the threaded end of the shower arm.
  • Hand-tighten it until it feels snug, but do not over-tighten, as this could damage the connector or threads.

6. Attach the Hose

  • Connect one end of the hose to the connector you just installed.
  • Tighten it by hand, ensuring it is secure but not excessively tightened.

7. Attach the Showerhead

  • Take the other end of the hose and connect it to the showerhead.
  • Hand-tighten this connection until it is securely fastened.

8. Turn On Water Supply

  • Slowly turn the water supply back on to allow pressure to build gradually.
  • Check all connections, including the showerhead, hose, and connector, for any signs of leaking.
  • If you notice any leaks, ensure all connections are properly tightened.

9. Adjust Showerhead Position

  • Adjust the showerhead to your preferred position or angle, if applicable.

10. Test the Showerhead

  • Turn on the shower to verify that water flows correctly.
  • Check again for any leaks and make any necessary adjustments.

Tips for a Smooth Installation:

  • Keep a towel or small bucket handy to catch any residual water when removing the old showerhead.
  • Use only hand-tightening for all connections to avoid damaging the components.
  • If leaks persist, try adding an additional layer of plumber’s tape to the threads.
